Inter Kenmare

U/13 Sat. Feb. 28th Inter 6-2 Killarney Celtic C
Another good win for the lads who are doing well in the league this year. After a nervy 10 minutes it was Inter who found the net first with a looping shot from Josh Fein from the edge of the box that went in over the head of Celtics keeper. The second came from a short goal kick and Kaleb Lynch Patterson was first to react and drill the ball off the crossbar and in.
Celtic started the second half better and soon found themselves back in the game with a well worked goal. Inter responded straight away when Sean Lucey found himself one on one a slotted home well. Celtic again didn’t sit back and again found the back of the Inter net and back in the game. Then Inter took control and a great run from Colin Crowley into the box and unselfishly pulled it back for Sean to get his second. Colin then himself got on the score sheet with a fine shot that went in off the post. Ruairi Burns (The Sneem Superstar) then put the icing on the cake with a cheeky lob to finish a fine performance from the lads.
U/15 Sat 14th March Killarney Athletic 1-2 Inter Kenmare
Back to winning ways for the under 15s after a fortunate enough win away to Athletic. Tadgh Siochriu got the first after a nice assist from Andrew Law-Braney and some great skill by Daniel Casey. Inter got their goal of the season after 30 minutes, Dylan O’Connor split the defence and five passes later Ben Crowley hit the top corner with a sweet finish. Athletic got on top in the second half and got one back, but all 11 Inter players plus all 5 subs worked their socks off to seal the three points.
