Sheen Falls Lodge, is pleased to announce the refurbishment of their restaurant, newly named ‘The Falls.’
The restaurant has seen an overhaul of the space creating an elegant, warm and vibrant atmosphere evoking a sense that you are dining in a Historic Grand Hotel. Taking inspiration from Art Deco opulence, The Falls restaurant now has an open view through the space and a standout central staircase, creating a luxurious environment for dining.
The menu, carefully prepared by head chef Philip Brazil features delicious dishes containing fresh locally sourced produce. Diners can enjoy a variety of scrumptious starters that include pan-seared Kerry scallops, chicken, beef & Madeira consommé and natural Castletownbere rock oysters. The main menu caters for all with a selection of home-grown produce, from the flame grilled fillet of Tipperary Hereford Irish beef to the pan-roast Kenmare cod fillet. The Ring of Kerry lamb duo with roast cannon and the breast of chicken with wild mushroom & pancetta mousse are among the house favourites, while the fresh home-made penne pasta and wild garlic gnocchi are the dishes of choice for vegetarians.
For those who are seeking something a little more extravagant in the restaurant, diners can sample the 7 course Culinary Experience with dishes taking influence from land and sea. The tasting menu boasts an array of the restaurant’s finest dishes along with a selection of delectable pastries prepared by head pastry chef, Niamh Switzer. Wine pairing is available on request. The tasting menu is available Monday to Sunday from 7pm to 8.30pm at €69 per person. With the serene sounds of resident pianist, Jim Kiely, the restaurant offers the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience.
