Cookie and the Vaudevilles. With an instrument line up of Double Bass, Jazz guitar, piano and drums this band plays original songs in a swing/retro-jazz even latin vein but with a modern energy. Selected old songs are recreated in the band’s own distinctive style taking advantage of Cookie’s powerfully expressive vocals. Vocalist COOKIE fronts a top-notch group of musicians. The members all have International experience and share in the songwriting and arranging.

A Souterrain at Releagh
Lecture/ Talk. Discovering Hidden Heritage in South Kerry presented by Frank Coyne.
In April 2015 the discovery of a 1200 year old souterrain (an underground hiding place) during road construction on between Kenmare and Glengarriff hit the headlines. Frank Coyne of Aegis Archaeology investigated the site on behalf of Kerry County Council and the National Roads Authority. He will give the first public presentation about the site and place it in the context of south Kerry’s rich early medieval heritage. This event is being organised as part of NRA / Archaeology – Heritage Week Events in association with Kerry County Council.

Ireland’s Ambassador of Comedy Conal Gallen is back on stage solo with his hilarious
new one man stand up show A LAUGH AND A HALF. After taking over 18 months out to
tour his two hugely successful comedy play A Bit On The Side and A Bit On The Sunny
Side Conal is back with what promises to be his best show yet, jam-packed with over 2
hours of hilarious jokes, stories and songs which will have you in stitches from start to
finish!

Charlie McGettigan
Charlie has worked with artists like Maura O’Connell and Eleanor Shanley who both
recorded many of his songs including Feet of a Dancer, A Bed for the Night and If
Anything Happened to You. Charlie joined forces with Paul Harrington and Brendan
Graham to win the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest for Ireland with Rock n Roll Kids.
He has released many solo albums including In Your Old Room, Family Matters, Stolen Moments produced in Nashville by legendary producer Bil Vorndick and his current album The Man from 20.
