September is a special month for most of us; Children return to school, the leaves begin to tumble, all thoughts turn to the forthcoming winter season and the beginning of the long dark days of winter…….NEWSFLASH!
Kerry library service is here to help you ‘while away’ the long winter days/nights.
Kenmare Library continues to offer many new and exciting services as well as many old and trusted one too.
Book. All the new and topical books that adorn the best seller lists in both Adult and Juvenile genres are available in Kerry library Services.
The gift of reading is still the most precious of gifts with which we can empower our children. Kenmare library want to help. We offer many of the recommended ‘reading aid books’ for the many of our juvenile readers who are beginning and a helping hand to those who need a little encouragement.
Our extensive fiction and non fiction lists are continually updated and we additionally offer the facility of requesting books from other branches.
For those who enjoy audio books and large print books we are happy to facilitate them also.
Newspapers and Magazines.
Daily National broadsheets and local newspapers are available for your perusal free of charge. We offer a miscellaneous selection of magazines for library users; we also offer access to the National and International newspapers online to all Kerry library members.

E-Books. E-Books are available now from the library. Access any time, anywhere! Easy checkout, variety of titles, 24-7 access. Go on, log on.
Learn a new language. we offer a free online language course in over 80 languages, language learning for beginner and intermediate levels, useful phrases for you holidays and travels and these languages on the go with ‘BYKI’ mobile.
Genealogy. Local History and Archive
Department located at Library Headquarters, Moyderwell Tralee, are dedicated to the
collection and preservation of all material
relating to the printed history of Kerry. They have resources available online which can be very useful for genealogy searches
