Busy month for Kenmare Kestrels

Well, it’s been a busy month for all our Kestrels teams! The start of the month was kicked off with a close win for our U14 boys away in Killarney against St Paul’s. Top scorers were Colin Crowley and Mark Looney. It was an even game the whole way through with St Paul’s giving a fair fight but Kenmare pulled through in the last few minutes with some stunning outside shots. Our Senior ladies travelled to Tralee on 12th January for an intense match against St Bridget’s with Montse Salvado, Caroline Taylor and Annie Cooper top scorers. Our Division One U12 girls defeated Gneeveguilla at home on 13th January ending on a finishing score of 36 – 12 with Tanya Salvado, Amy Harrington and Katie Cronin top scorers. Gneeveguilla gave Kenmare a good game. Also our under 12 Girls topped Gneeveguilla in the Div 3 Plate 16 to 5 with a real team effort. Going well are our Under 14 Girls Div 2 Team who are into the Plate Semi-Final, our Under 16 Girls who continue to impress under Pat Condon and our Under 14 Boys div 3 team. Miguel Cornide and John Adams continue to make strides with our Under 12 Boys at Divisions 2 & 3. Our young Academy players continue to improve on Saturday mornings, thanks to all involved. Our Fun men are flying with Cyril Harrington and Denis O’Shea leading our men out on Tuesday and Thursday Nights. Finally keep an eye out for our Second Annual Easter Basketball Camp, March 30th, March 31st and April 1st. More details will be posted on our Kenmare Kestrels Facebook Page – be sure to ‘Like Us’.
