Kenmare Credit Union offers new service

As January is now behind us, many are thinking of starting that savings plan for the year ahead. Saving just got a whole lot easier with the installation of a new savings stamp machine in the credit union office in Kenmare. The machine accepts €2 coins and stamps are issued to insert into a members savings card, up to €100 can be redeemed through a completed card. The savings scheme has been very successful in the other Killarney Credit Union branches with Christmas being the most popular time when cards are redeemed.
Speaking about the savings scheme, Helen Courtney Power, Business Development Officer, Killarney Credit Union “this is a great time of the year to start with a savings scheme and you would be surprised how quickly the card fills up, staff in the credit union branches are happy to give change for the machine, so there is no excuse not to buy some stamps each week. The completed cards can be used for many credit union transaction such as bill payment, loan payment, gift cheques etc she concluded.
The savings scheme is open to members of the credit union, if you are not a member yet, see www.killarneycu for more information on membership.
