Four European and four World Titles for Bernie O’Sullivan School of Irish Dancing

33 talented dancers from the Bernie O’Sullivan School of Irish Dancing travelled to Brighton to participate in various competitions over a four day event; WIDA European and World Championships and European Grade Feis.
Parents and their mentor Bernie, departed Kenmare on Wednesday March 30th with lots of hopes and goals and they returned on Monday April 4th with achievements beyond their wildest dreams, bringing home 8 titles, an amazing result!
Two European Champions; Nadine Delaney U12 and Leon O’Sullivan U13.
Two European Céilí Championship Winners in the U2 Céilí Team and U17 Team.
They also have three World Solo Champions in Aisling O’Sullivan U12, Leon O’Sullivan U13 and Sarah Godfrey in the U21 age category, and Leon with both a European and a World Title, the U17 Céilí Team also brought a World Title home.
The talented dancers also competed for the first time in the Show and Figure Competition directed by Annemarie Cleary. The Junior figure with the ‘Ring of Kerry’ got 5th and the Senior team with ‘Kenmare Lace’ were awarded 4th, the Show dance with ‘The Sound of Music’ were placed 3rd out of 13, a fantastic achievement.U17 celici IMG_7617
