Irish Film Institute Kerry Kaleidescope
Films include a recently discovered Travelogue of Kerry circa 1934; The Blaskets in the 1930s; Closure of Kenmare train line in 1960; Holidays in Ballybunion and Steeple building in Kenmare in 1963 and the undoubted highlight of the programme is the recently discovered and meticulously restored Ballycashel Ferry .

Atlantic (Documentary)
Narrated by Emmy Award winner, Brendan Gleeson, screened across Ireland, Norway and Newfoundland, Atlantic follows the fortunes of three fishing communities as we explore how we are managing our ocean resources. From Atlantic’s beginnings as an ambitious crowd funding project, to our official launch on 29th April at the IFI, Dublin and the Eye Cinema, Galway, we are delighted to be supported by local screenings the length and breadth of the country. Atlantic tells a story that needs to be told.

Corina Duyn `Full Circle`
This exhibition signals Corina Duyn’s return to Kenmare, the Artist’s first home in Ireland 27 years ago. This month long exhibition will bring the visitor on a journey of discovery through imaginative sculptures of birds, roots and mystical figures, and finely woven tapestries. Her deep connection and appreciation of nature is ever present in her art and in her (four) books, all of which are available during the exhibition.

Bernard Casey
Bernard Casey is an award winning Stand Up comedian and actor from Portmagee Village. He is currently touring the country performing his Stand Up comedy show in preparation for the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In 2016 he won the Toilet Duck Award at the 10th annual TedFest at the Roisin Dubh in Galway. As a result he will be performing at the Vodafone Comedy Carnival in Galway in October alongside Jason Byrne and PJ Gallagher. In the past 4 years he has supported such comics as Ardal O Hanlon, Jason Byrne, Apres Match, Karl Spain and Al Porter.

Donal Lunny and Paddy Glackin
Since the seventies Dónal has had involvement with some of the most innovative bands to emerge from Ireland including Planxty, the Bothy Band, Moving Hearts, Coolfin, and more recently Mozaik. He has toured across the world, collaborating with musicians of many different cultures. Paddy Glackin, also a founding member of Bothy Band, is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading traditional fiddle players. A Dublin man proud of his strong links to County Donegal. His father, Tom Glackin was a notable fiddle player and instilled in Paddy a deep interest and love of the music of his native county-Donegal.
