Film Screening A Doctor’s Sword
A Doctor’s Sword tells the remarkable story of Aidan MacCarthy, a doctor from Castletownbere West Cork, who, at 28, joined the RAF in London as the 2nd World war began. Soon after he found himself evacuated from Dunkirk and in May 1941 received the George’s Cross for rescuing the crew of a burning RAF plane which had crashed into a bomb dump on landing. Another opportunity to view this remarkable film. Admission €7/€5 ( students)

Frankie Gavin is the most celebrated Irish fiddle player of all time and has performed and recorded with rock legends The Rolling Stones, Jazz Legend Stephane Grappelli and world renowned violinist Sir Yehudi Menuhin amongst many others. This August will see the return of the Carnegie Players to our stage. One of John B. Keane’s most popular plays ‘Big Maggie’ will open on Friday 5th August and run for three nights.

September 9th 8pm Eilish O Carroll ‘Live Love Laugh’
This one woman show written and performed by Eilish O Carroll, better known to us as the beloved Winnie McGoogan in the multi award winning sitcom Mrs brown’s Boys. Is a show not to be missed. In this play Eilish tells her own life story with unflinching honesty. Tickets €20
