Well done to the talented children from Tuosist

Scor DPP_0003 who recently competed in Scór na bPáistí. These children firstly participated in the parish round of the competition before taking part in the district final in Kenmare at the beginning of March. Tuosist emerged victorious in the district final, bringing home gold in every single category; solo singing, recitation, ballad group, group instrumental and question time. Then it was on to the county semi-final which was held in Foilmore on 29th March. Tuosist GAA was the most represented club competing in the semi-finals. Although the children performed exceptionally, not all the acts got through to the county final but they really did the parish of Tuosist and Kenmare District proud. The quiz team however will go forward to the county final in Ballybunion on April 13th. We would like to wish them the very best of luck with this. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank anyone who helped out with practice and preparation; various parents, grandparents and teachers and especially to Caroline & Ina O’ Shea for all their hard work sewing and getting the costumes ready for the big event, also to Michael Murphy for his diligent coaching of the quiz team.
The children who competed are as follows; Solo singing Saoirse Nolan; Recitation Seán Ó Sé; Ballad Group Ellen Torpey, Emma and Julie O’ Sullivan, India Grant and Hannah Coombes; Group Instrumental Emma and Julie O’ Sullivan, Asher and India Grant and Ellen Torpey; Question Time Aishling Rochford, Kieran Harrington, Callum Murphy and Seán Ó Sé.
