Busy month for Kenmare GAA

Senior Football.
Our senior footballers had a superb win against Legion in the Senior Club C’ship in Fitzgerald Stadium recently. This win sets up a final against the reigning All Ireland Club Champions, Dr. Crokes. A great day to look forward to and well done to all the players and management.
Minor Football.
Our minor footballers will play Gneeveguilla on May 19th in the County League Final. Best of luck to all involved.

Feile Hurling Champions.
Huge congrats to the Kenmare/Kilgarvan U/14 hurlers who won Div 1 of this years Feile. The team bridged a 25 year gap to the last victory in this grade and they will now represent Kerry in the All Ireland Feile in Kilkenny during the summer.
Jerseys. The U/12 team was presented with a new set of jerseys by Seánie O’Shea recently. Thanks to David mc Mahon of Premier World Travel for sponsoring the jerseys.

Coiste na nÓg.
Sunday the 7th May was Lá na gClub and in conjunction with Coiste na nÓg Chiarraí, who are celebrating their 50th year, Kenmare District hosted a parade in Kenmare. The parade was led out by Uileann Piper Mr. Kelliher from Ballingeary, followed by the victorious Feile Hurling Champions 2017 Kenmare/Kilgarvan and Kerry Community Games U/14 Ladies Football Champions 2017, Inbhear Sceine Gaels. Well done to all who organised this event and also to those who participated. Our U/12′s, U/14′s and U/16′s have played a huge amount of games in hurling and football recently with much success. The time and effort given by the various mentors is very much appreciated by the club and parents. Participation in sport, especially team sport, is vital for the development of our young people.
