Brú Columbanus walk

A 10k fundraising trek will take place on Saturday 24th May in Kenmare to raise much needed funds for Brú Columbanus. The walk will go along the old Kenmare butter road to Galway’s Bridge. (Walkers will
then be transported back to Kenmare.) The walk is organised with the
support of Kenmare Walking Club.
Brú Columbanus provides ‘home from home’ accommodation for the
relatives of seriously ill patients in Cork Hospitals and Hospice. Brú
Columbanus consists of 26 en-suite family rooms with a supporting
kitchen and lounges where families can meet other families who are in
similar situations and can lend support and understanding to each
other and draw on their shared experiences.
“This is our 5th Annual Kenmare Walk and we are sure we will have a
great turn out. It is always a fun day, an opportunity to get some
exercise, have a chat and see some amazing views along the way- as
well as support a fantastic cause,” says Anne-Maria O’Connor, who has
organised the walk. Registration is €20 and can be done online at
www.brucolumbanus.com or by calling 021 4345754 or 087 2787 074.”
