Drinagh Rangers 2:3 Inter Kenmare
Inter Kenmare ladies overcame their final hoodoo to win an entertaining if somewhat nervy final against a very strong Drinagh side. The Inter goals all came in the first half with two from Michelle O’Sullivan and one from Laura O’Sullivan as they came flying out of the blocks to take a 3-0 lead into half time. Drinagh where never out of this and kept pushing finally getting rewarded with what was a slightly fortuitous goal after some hesitation in the Inter box. Drinagh and Inter traded attacks but it was Drinagh who finally made one count to make it 3:2 to Inter with time running out. It was now starting to swing in Drinagh’s favor as the Inter ladies were starting to look tired, Drinagh threw wave after wave of attacks at the Inter defense but Inter where not to be denied this year and won 3:2. Congratulations to all the girls and manager Denis O’Brien.

U 16’s
Inter Kenmare 4:4 Castleisland
Inter win 5:4 on penalties
A really entertaining game which Inter should have won far easier but their finishing left them down. Castleisland took the lead when a high ball over the Inter defence wasn’t dealt with. Daniel Taylor equalised straight away with a great free kick after Darragh Siocru was fouled. Inter again conceded but levelled nearly straight away after some great work from Daniel on the right side gave Denis Cronin a chance in the box and he buried it to make the score 2-2 at half time. The second half started and before we knew it we were 4-2, to their credit they never stopped trying and pulled one back when from a corner the ball broke to Tom (po) O’Sullivan and he controlled it and volleyed the ball in off the post. They kept pushing for equaliser and got it after Denis Cronin was fouled on the right, he took it himself and floated in a lovely ball and Daragh Siocru rose to header to the back of the net. Inter had chances to win it but it went to extra time where they had chances too but they could not take them. So penalties it was Castleisland who went first and scored, Daniel Taylor scored for Inter, Castleisland scored their next 3 and so did Inter, Denis Cronin, Tom po O’Sullivan and Daragh Siochru. Castleisland missed their 5th and up stepped John Crowley to win it for inter and win it he did, he was so sure of it he ran away in celebration before the ball hit the back of the net. Well done boys.

Inter Kenmare 4:3 St Brendan’s Park
This was the last league game for the boys and it was against Park who took the lead when inter didn’t deal with a through ball and Park’s no. 9 finished to the net. Denis Cronin equalised straight away when the ball broke to him and he let fly with a bullet of a shot. Again park took the lead and so it was 2.1 at half time, Inter quickly got back on level terms with another goal from Denis Cronin. Park got a 3rd but again the boys kept fighting and won a penalty after Darragh Twomey was put through on goals with a great ball by Darragh Siochru, he rounded the keeper and took a shot which was going into the net only for a defender to stop it with his hand, penalty!! Daniel Taylor scored it to make it 3-3. Just like the game before Denis Cronin was fouled on the right, Darragh Twomey took the free and who was there with a bullet of a header only Darragh Siochru, 4-3 to Inter it finished with some good defending from Joe O’Sullivan and Sean Casey.
