Blackwater Women’s Group meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month. Membership is €5 per year. Members can join classes, go on outings and enjoy guest speakers. New members welcome.
Tea Dance.
A dine aden dance (formerly called a tea dance) will be held in Kenmare Bay Hotel on Sunday 4th March from 1.30pm to 6pm. Lunch and dance €20. Music by Jerry McCarthy/Autumn Gold. Ring Mary in the Shop 064-6682003 to book.
31 card game for up-keep of defibrillators.
A 31 card game and raffle for the up-keep of defibrillators in the Blackwater/Templenoe area takes place in Blackwater Tavern on Thursday March 22nd at 9pm. Tables of 8 @ €10 per person. Ring Tavern on 064-6682003 to book a table.
CPR Training.
CPR Training took place in Blackwater Tavern on Saturday February 10th.
Photography Class.
KETB Photography Classes will re-commence on Saturday February 17th from 11am to 1pm and continue every Saturday morning. All welcome to join. Contact Mary in Shop 064-6682003 to book or for information. There will be a photographic exhibition in the Dance Hall in the summer.
Drama.
KETB Drama Classes take place in the Tavern every Wednesday night from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Exercise Classes.
Exercise Classes with Shirley Price take place every Monday night in the Tavern.
Exercises for the Energetic €5 per class from 7pm to 8pm.
Go for Life classes for the over 50’s or less energetic 8pm to 9pm.

Film & Editing Class.
A film & editing Class through SKDP will start shortly. Blackwater Women’s Group were recently awarded a Cultural Archive Award Grant to produce a DVD of disappearing ways of life in rural Ireland. They have already filmed old farming and cultural ways of life and this will now be archived and preserved for future generations.
Paint Workshop.
Fourteen people took part in the paint workshop with Jessica of the White Room in the Blackwater Tavern recently. It was most relaxing and enjoyable afternoon and Jessica’s presentation was excellent
