CoderDojo club forming

We are very pleased to announce the formation of a Kenmare CoderDojo computer coding club. CoderDojo is a free, volunteer led movement for young people between 5 and 17 learn how to code, develop websites, apps, programs, games and more. The first Dojo started in Cork and now there are over 220 Dojos in 27 countries! Kenmare CoderDojo is in development and we are requesting donations of unneeded laptops – which can be dropped off to Bia Bia in Supervalu. We are also seeking volunteers with basic programming knowledge to become Dojo mentors. A venue and schedule is yet undecided and will be announced in the next edition of Kenmare News. We are grateful for any support individuals and the community can offer in helping us to create this exciting opportunity for the children of Kenmare. If you are interested in a volunteer or mentor position, please contact and we invite everybody to follow our updates on Facebook.
