New public park to receive a visit from Tourism Ireland Chief Executive Niall Gibbons
During a presentation to an Oireachtas Committee, Tourism Ireland CEO Niall Gibbons promised me he would come to Kenmare to visit the new public park. Mr Gibbons will meet with peninsula committee and its chairman Mickey Ned O’Sullivan to discuss the support that Tourism Ireland can give to the developing of the land. There have been proposals for, rowing club facilities, walkways and cycle paths as well as biodiversity areas with in the land. These along with other ideas will be of benefit to the local community as well as visitors to the area from Ireland and abroad. Securing the proper funding form national organisation such as Tourism Ireland will be critical to ensuring the public park has all necessary amenities.
