The Celtic Tenors come to Kenmare

The Celtic Tenors will perform at an evening concert at The Sheen Falls Lodge on Saturday, June 14th at 8pm.
The Celtic Tenors began life as the Three Irish Tenors in October 1995 and after a few changes to the line up, now consist of Matthew Gilsenan, James Nelson and Daryl Simpson. They have travelled the world, bringing their own blend of classical, folk, Irish and popular music to a global and diverse audience. With their fresh and vibrant interpretations of well-known songs, they have broken the association between ‘tenor’ and ‘conservative’ and brought ‘sexy’ back into the mix!
The popularity of The Celtic Tenors is undisputable: they have achieved total worldwide album sales of over one million and recently signed a major record deal with Universal. In their own inimitable way, they have transformed their classical repertoire to add a contemporary edge that includes wonderful three-part harmonies. They have gathered a global fan base: a testament to their versatility as performers. Warm and engaging they like nothing better than to engage with their audience as they put their unique stamp on traditional classics such as ‘She Moved Through The Fair,’ and ‘Danny Boy,’ to more contemporary songs like ‘No Frontiers’ and ‘All Out of Love.’
Supported by local choirs, the fully seated, concert will take place in a Marquee in the breathtaking grounds of The Sheen Falls Lodge.
Produced by Brennan & Carey, a local events management company, the proceeds from The Celtic Tenors concert are to support Kenmare and Bonane festivals and events for 2014/2015.
