We are starting to make plans to celebrate the group’s 20th anniversary in October. Yes, it’s 20 years since Vera Shaw decided Kenmare was in need of a women’s group that would bring together women of all denominations, with friendship as a core objective, and what a success it has been. Thank you Vera. More about all of that in later issues of the Kenmare news.
For anyone new to the area, or just simply unaware of how our group works, we have formal meetings with a variety of speakers, during the months of October through to April. These are held at the Adult Education Centre every Wednesday morning from 11am to 1pm.
During the summer months we meet at the same time, for coffee and chat, at the Brook Lane Hotel. These are very casual mornings, come for 10 mins or 2 hours, it’s up to you! You don’t have to be a group member to join us. We love seeing new faces.
